I liked Rand’s novel, but boy was she way off base in thinking the real world would be like her novel! The characters in “Atlas” were actually good, smart and moral people who did work hard at building their business and the economy. Unfortunately, the Corporate Fascists are more like Dagney’s brother Jim, nothing but wealthy looters in capitalist robes. Stealing money from the masses is not virtuous! Yet that is what all the Wall Street banking firms did. And they got away with it! Even Alan Greenspan (a diehard admirer of Rand) admitted it.

I think I realized our capitalist system works us over a long time ago when I realized I was paying more tax as a single worker with no deductions making a whopping $40k/year than a corporate CEO making $1 Million. That and the way prices keep rising, despite the fact we are in a serious economic depression.

It has become quite clear with the mortgage meltdown in 2007-08 that Wall Street and the Corporate Fascists have complete control over everything. Even worse, they have appropriated the so-called religious idea of “morals” to brainwash the lower class into “thinking” they share the same values. Capitalism has no morals. It’s sole aim is to make profit at any cost. It pains me to see that most people are too stupid to see that.

Nope, I cannot stand the guy because he simply continues down the conservative path to national, possibly world, destruction. And it is such a shame that he is giving liberalism & socialism a bad name when his policies are neither liberal nor socialist.
